Calendar of Upcoming Events
MAY
May 19- Young Adult Volleyball Tournament sponsored by St. Philip Young Adults and Ignite Young Adult Ministry 2:00 pm at St. Philip Parish, Greenville. Parish teams of 6-8 players are welcome to play. Each team must have at least 6 players, 8 if you want subs. Each team must include at least 2 ladies. Teams must submit registration by May 13. The cost is $50 for each team. Checks payable to St. Philip Parish. Individuals may register onsite for $10 and will form a team then. The day will end with a 6pm Mass followed by a pizza social. May 30 – Theology on Tap This month’s topic is The Mystery of Suffering and will be presented by Lisa M. Gulino, D.Min (candidate), Director, Diocescan Office of Religious Education and Val Monteiro. “If God is good why is there pain and suffering?” Come and discuss a central question and often a large stumbling block to Faith. Following Lisa’s presentation, Val Monteiro will share his experiences with Muscular Dystrophy and how he came to realize that suffering has a salvific dimension.
